About Us
Paws Motail opened its doors in September 2000 to expand its passion for pets and assist with the need of a local dog boarding facility. Deanna made it her standard to demonstrate the highest level of care and compassion for her and other people's pets. Paws Motail treats every dog as if they were our own and realize that dog's are just not pets, but they are friends, companions, and family members. Each individual has their own unique personality and needs. With today's busy lifestyle it is sometimes difficult to fulfill those needs which is why Paws Motail is committed to providing your pet with the utmost care and attention.
Our Staff
Deanna Holmes - Owner
Deanna created Paws Motail in 2000 and has been expanding her compassion and love for dogs ever since. She has 3 dogs, “Ella” and “Ava” both Australian Shepherds, “Kyra” an Australian Bluehealer, along with a pet goat “Lola” and pig “Paisley” whom reside on the farm. Deanna has prior experience raising Rottweiler’s also.
In her free time, she helps manage Holmes Animal Clinic. Deanna also helps with the livestock on their farm.
Dr. Jeff Holmes - Holmes Animal Clinic
Dr. Jeff graduated in 1989 from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in Pella, Iowa for two years before returning home to Algona to practice with his father. In January of 2003, Dr. Jeff purchased the practice from his father. The practice continues to grow with referrals for his specialty in orthopedic surgeries and internal medicine.
